 The requirements analysis, planning and decision making software Logic MindGuide was nominated as „Best Commercial RCP Application Finalist“ by the Eclipse Foundation, that organized the first Eclipse Community Awards.
Our primary developer, Dipl.-Ing. Lorenz Maierhofer, therefore joined the developer conference EclipseCon 2006 that was held in Santa Clara, California from von March 21.-24.
„The success of complex projects is hugely influenced by the very early planning and decision phases, where a list of measures towards the goal is specified. This is where the new management tool Logic MindGuide helps project managers to systematically find stakeholders, analyze their demands and restrictions and finally decide on fitting measures." says Dipl.-Ing. Lorenz Maierhofer, developer and product manager at Future Management. He started developing the software Logic MindGuide during his diploma thesis at the University of Technology Graz and since then used the tool in many successful projects while constantly developing and adapting it to practical needs. In early 2006, the Eclipse Foundation (www.eclipse.org), one of the most innovative and fastest growing open-source initiatives, announced the first Eclipse Community awards. Since Logic MindGuide is largely based on Eclipse technology, we applied in the category "Best Commercial RCP Application", (best desktop application in commercial software) - and were nominated as one of only 2 Produkts as "Finalist", outpacing great products from many large, international software companies!
Being honored by the nomination, Dipl,-Ing. Lorenz Maierhofer attendet the developer conference EclipseCon (www.eclipsecon.org/2006/) where the awards were presented. This huge meeting of companies and developers engaged with modern Eclipse technologies was held at the heart of the software industry - in "Silicon Valley" (Santa Clara, California, USA) from March 21.-24. The convention was visited by about 1.500 experts coming from ~ 500 companies and 36 countries!
Being present at this conference, we had the chance to speak with many highly interesting people while also presenting our product Logic MindGuide. We could demonstrate the excellent usage possibilities of Logic MindGuide in software engineering and could discuss approaches and tools with other vendors and developers.
